Art Objects
It began with a nest filled with small things. A clattering of found objects, a magpie’s assortment of cast-offs. As a child, I stole my privilege and pillaged my treasure from things deemed useless. I found gold in the discarded — a bit of broken glass, a dirty plastic charm — and relished disappearance. SH… SH… there goes the hissing of bulbs burning out, dying balloons, daylight spilling from a window into an abandoned room once called a parlor, a slow hand against the mouth… glances down the hall.
Half a century immersed in aesthetics. Over fifty years of collecting objects, exploring nuance, gathering scraps, making art, crafting crafts, finding hidden insights, and searching for the secret at the heart of all things. This 'shop' is an estate sale — a long, slow deaccessioning of talismanic items related to ritual and creative self-inquiry. A peculiar estate sale made all the more peculiar by the sanctifying of objects before they leave the various shelves and boxes they have occupied. Each object is layered with a mark, a number, and text. Words, matter, insights, and teachings are woven together, each informing, expanding, and enhancing the other — everything mingling in the interstitial ether, all aspects of an amorphous whole. A grand art object continuously dispersing — one piece at a time.

These remnants started life decades ago as pieces of clothing, accessories, and home goods formed by skilled hands and creative minds.
Reimagined through my eyes and assembled by my hands, this curated selection of detritus has been momentarily transformed into a series of transient artworks — four evocative tableaux of miscellanea related to an idiosyncratic cosmology.
Now, these pieces of the past are offered to you, where they will continue their creative journey. Through your perspective and participation, they will be reorganized, reenergized, and possibly reshaped into something never before seen.
From their voice to my voice to yours…
Suggestion: Pin resonating elements on a corkboard as inspiration for a product line. Play with assembling as a studio practice, or translate their collective ethos into a story. Use as materials for talismanic objects, art collage, peculiar figurines, prop items for photography. The aesthetic of this collection is associated with the #7 and #5 creative phase and card, as detailed in the Organon 9 Worlds Card Deck.
Details — A range of pieces collected over forty years of gathering. Most are antique; all are vintage — some may have extensive signs of use (to me, this is a good thing). Your package will contain everything you see.
This collection includes early cotton solids and printed fabrics, linen, distressed canvas, glass beads, embroidery, rickrack, grosgrain, velvet trim, satin, seam-binding ribbon pieces, charms, crochet, glass leaves, distressed felt and beaded flowers. Glass, plastic, shell, nut buttons.

This is not just a collection of scraps.
After half a century of collecting objects, exploring nuance, gathering impressions and energies, and searching for the secret at the heart of all things, these ‘bits not worth saving’ are now talismans. Words, numbers, insights, and art practice are woven with materiality, each informing, expanding, and enhancing the other. Everything mingles in the interstitial ether, all aspects of a grand art object continuously dispersing.
Suggestion: create a ritual centered on laying out each scrap as you contemplate the preciousness of all things. Sew a less fragile piece into the inside of a pocket or shirt as a talismanic secret reminder of the sacred in the ordinary. Or research scrap gathering related to food, quilting, rag picking, etc., as a springboard for personal inquiry. This object is associated with the #3 creative phase and card as detailed in the Organon 9 Worlds Card Deck.
Details — Collection of small remnants gathered over a lifetime, in archival plastic sleeves and a vintage box. Individual pieces range from .25” wide to 5.5” long.
